This was a hard list to narrow down! However, this is my definitive list for a well rounded road trip soundtrack. 

• Life is a Highway – Rascal Flatts
  • No road trip is complete without this classic road song covered by Rascal Flatts! That’s right, though they were not the original authors of the song, they made it popular with their recording for the Cars movie soundtrack. Though it is not their own, it is considered to be one of their greatest hits.
• Tongue Tied – Grouplove
  • Though you may not immediately recognize this song from its title, it is absolutely one you will know for it’s beat! This song has been used by a number of popular TV shows and companies for promotional material, from Apple in an iPod Touch commercial in 2011 to season 3 of the hit show Glee.
• Everybody Talks – Neon Trees
  • With millions of downloads, this song went from sleeper hit to one of the most successful songs from the Neon Trees. It has the familiarity that everyone in your call will know but also brings something special to your road trip karaoke.
• Riptide – Vance Joy
  • Of course no road trip karaoke sesh is over without Riptide! This song went around the world and back again, staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for over 40 weeks. You won’t regret jamming out to this with your friends.
• Happier – Marshmello, Bastille
  • As the most recently released song on this list, it is a masterful collaboration between Marshmello and Bastille. It is one that will allow your car to break free from the classics and show off their carseat dance moves.
• Love Story – Taylor Swift
  • How could we not include some Taylor Swift and of course Love Story is one of her most recognizable hits. This is a song that can be appreciated by many generations and fans alike.
• Viva La Vida – Coldplay
  • It was hard to pick just one Coldplay song but for road trip karaoke, you can’t go wrong with Viva La Vida.
