Behind the Scenes

A couple of things happened this week that I have been planning and working up to for a while.

The first is that I finally got some modern style floor lamps for our living room! I will probably feature those lamps in some of my photos, so keep an eye out! #IKEAforthewin 😏

The second actually doesn’t really have to do with me and what I am doing in life but rather a love story that I have been following for a while.

Let’s take it back a couple of months, to when my friend Tyler told me that he wanted to marry his then girlfriend, Ashleigh. I was super excited for this, they had been dating for a while at that point, (even though nothing was ever made super public, like facebook official or anything) and anyone who knows him can tell you that he is one of the most cautious and calculating guys they know. (Basically, he takes his time and puts a lot of meaning and thought into his decisions.) As time went on, he kept me updated on his progress towards the proposal. ⏰

He asked for her hand from her dad, ordered the ring from the jeweler, and had a rough idea about how he would want to propose. At this point, he asked me, and our friends Michael and Paul, to help him set everything up. We found a gazeebo in Mapleton and, after further investigation, decided on the scene to setup there. The pictures below are the fruits of our labors:

In the end, she said Yes!💍

One last thing that I will say about Tyler’s preparation for this moment is that all the way up to that night he was a bundle of nerves. (He may have even been that way on that night!) As I watched him go down on one knee, he appeared to be totally different: calm, cool and confident. Ashleigh truly brings out the best in him and I am so happy for this step that they are taking together!

The last thing that I want to say about this week is that prints are now officially available! If you look at the top menu, you will notice a new button that says “Prints.” Click on that and you will be taken to a rough order form for printing my pictures! As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to me at cupofcrushedice@gmail.com and I will help you to get the right print for your home, your friend’s home, or wherever you want! 🖼

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for liking, commenting and subscribing. Thank you for all your love and I love you all! Have a great week!

-Mitch
