This week I pretty much just want to touch on two things:

• standing desk
• snow/collaborations

SO, here goes everything 🤗.

Standing Desk

At my work we have been making a lot of changes to both the structure of the company itself as well as the seating arrangements. I’m still working with the same people and in the same capacity but, as you may have guessed by now, my desk has changed. I now have a motorized standing desk! (Motorized means that I can also sit by pressing a button that lowers the desk.) Yes, I have heard a lot about the health benefits and whatnot but, that’s not really why I’m so excited about this latest development. Really, it’s because of how I talk on the phone. Those of you who have seen me talk on my phone, except for when I’m in the car (of course), may have noticed that I move A LOT when I take a call🕺🏽.

You can call me old-fashioned but, I like talking on the phone (I mean, I definitely like it more than texting) and when I talk on the phone, I like to pace. So a standing desk is the dream. (Honestly, at this point, the only thing that would make it any better would be a wireless headset.📞) I love it 😍.

Snow/Collaborations

This week I was finally here for a snowfall! The featured image for this post is one of the fruits of that snowfall. It was incredible. It started while I was at work and I almost thought that I was going to miss it! Thankfully, it started up again just before sunset so I jumped in my car and set out for the canyon. (Mom, I spent all last winter in Rexburg, Idaho. I know how to drive in the snow.)

Shooting in the snow is new to me so I kinda took this opportunity as a test run. OMG it was so much fun. On Tuesday, this coming week, keep an eye out for an Instagram Story from me that details what I saw and experienced on my test run. 📸

Now for Collaborations. I joined a contest this week by Sony Images. In the contest, I was assigned a group of images the edit and I was supposed to pick one to submit as my choice in the contest. After spending the week with my pictures, I submitted my edit yesterday morning. I loved it because of the unique aspects and challenges of the photo, especially the colors 😆. This contest got me thinking, why don’t I do this more often? For example, once a week or every two weeks, meeting up with another photographer (virtually or in person) and collaborating on a photo series. So keep an eye out for that!
