OUTGOING!!

As the New Year approaches I, like everyone else cause I’m human with a social life, am both reflecting on 2017 and planning for 2018.

(SIDE NOTE: I’m going to do a separate post for my resolutions, uploaded on the first, cause I think they will be easier to keep track of that way. I’ll just say that in 2018 the name of the game is Consistency.)

This last week I feel like I have been here, there and everywhere. Christmas was a blast. My family is so fun to be around during this time of year. General happiness abounds. A lot of time was spent either at weddings or preparing for Haley’s wedding. ‘Tis the season(?) haha.

Christmas morn is always an adventure with the fam. (This year Santa may have mixed up some of the presents and wrappings but all in good fun 😅.) We had our traditional breakfast of Aebleskivers (I mentioned them a couple of weeks ago when I went to the Christmas Market in Provo), bacon, eggs, and hash browns. They were all heavenly 😇.

(SIDE NOTE: One thing that I have noticed is the large quantity of pots, pans, and plates that are required for breakfast meal preparation. To prepare just those four foods, we had to pull out almost everything in the kitchen! This is probably why I have subconsciously resorted to just eating either a protein bar or a PB&J for my breakfasts🤗)

After breakfast, and a fair amount of lounging about because #foodcoma, we went to see The Greatest Showman. If you haven’t seen it, it follows the story of P.T. Barnum who started the first circus. I rather enjoyed the movie, the music is really fun and the cast played their parts well.

This week I did spend a little time taking some pictures, mainly of the most beautiful building in Gilbert (the LDS Temple) and the featured photo for this post is one that I took on my shoot. If you haven’t already check out my portfolio site linked in the blog menu, please do so! (Yes, as part of my evolution as a photographer in 2018, I am taking orders for prints, instead of digital downloads. Contact me with inquiries about pricing 📸)

I was also able to see my longtime friend, Jackson, wed to his beautiful bride, Bre. Shoutout to them for the beautiful party in celebration of their union! It was so fun to see old friends and reconnect with those who I haven’t seen in a while.

I’m SOOOO excited for the new year and the new opportunities that it brings. Stay tuned for my resolutions post, which will go up mid-week. I love you guys and thanks for reading. If you’re new and you haven’t already, don’t forget to subscribe!

Goodbye 2017!

-Mitch
